‼️ NEW GENERAL MANAGER ‼️
The board are delighted to announce that Euan Alexander has been appointed as the new General Manager of Tayforth Machinery Ring, with effect from 20th July 2026.
This is an important appointment for our co-operative and one that comes at a time when the role of Tayforth Machinery Ring remains as important as ever. Our purpose has always been to support members by helping improve efficiency, make better use of resources and strengthen the resilience of farm and rural businesses across our area.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for the fantastic job they have done over the last 8 months keeping everything running smoothly. Their help, support and commitment have ensured the first-class service members have been used to has continued.”
“Finally, I’d just like to thank the members for their continued support of the co-operative. The strength of Tayforth Machinery Ring has always come from its members, and we remain committed to working on your behalf and in the best interests of the rural community”
General Manager, Euan Alexander:
“I’m very pleased and excited to be joining Tayforth Machinery Ring as General Manager. While I formally take up the role on 20th July, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. It’s a real privilege to be joining such a well-established and respected organisation, and I’m looking forward to meeting members and gaining a deeper understanding of your businesses over the coming months.
By way of background, I’ve spent nearly 20 years working in agriculture, followed by the last three years in the renewable energy sector. Across these roles, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the challenges facing rural businesses, as well as the opportunities that are emerging across the industry.
My aim is simple—to make sure Tayforth continues to work as effectively as possible for you. I’m keen to listen to what matters most to members, where we’re doing well, and where we can improve or offer more support. I know how important the sense of trust and cooperation is within a machinery ring, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build strong relationships and keeping communication open and straightforward.
Once I’m in post, I’ll be out and about meeting members, so I hope to see many of you in person soon. If you’re passing the office in Milnathort, feel free to pop in to meet myself and the team, or get in touch for a chat—I’d be delighted to hear from you.
In the meantime, thank you for your continued support—I’m looking forward to working with you.”
