A good start to July with a nice fish for Richard this morning.
The riffle hitch is not a method commonly used on the Tay but it’s a method that produced the goods today. Keith Collins was keen to give it a go and starting in the House Pool he soon moved a fish which turned at his fly. Five minutes later he hooked and landed another - a fish of 8lbs. Moving upstream to the Boxwood Bush and a similar story of the fish moving at his fly but failing to get a proper hold of it. Unfortunately the terrible winds in the afternoon put a stop to our fishing but it was an interesting morning with three fish interested and one landed.
