On Sunday 5th July I had the pleasure of attending and capturing images for a project that am working on... Thankyou Fiona Mackinnon & The Side Saddle Association Area1 and for letting me attend.

I have popped a few images of the riders up on the website, and in the next few weeks I will post some of the Fine Art work I am working on.

The history of Side saddle is just amazing and working with the Tack & Clothing that has lasted generations and been passed down the families over the years is just mind blowing, testimony to the Quality and workmanship of the leather and tweed work is amazing, and to think if they could tell a story of the years of use it would be an amazing one.

And not forgetting the ability that these women had, to be able to ride in every Equine Discipline and look so strong and elegant is mind blowing to me, its was a dying art and thanks to the coaches and Side Saddle Association offering these 'Give it ago Sessions' and clinics supporting this discipline and bringing it back into the modern day world its a joy to watch. I am so excited to be supporting them and learning more about this sport, History comes in all shapes and forms, and as with all things historical should be remembered.
