We’re so quick to say “I’m fine,” even when we’re not. Sometimes it feels easier to skip past the truth than to risk being seen in our vulnerability and messiness. But underneath that small phrase is often a body holding emotions, its breath, a jaw clenched tight, a heart and soul that’s tired of pretending.
What if you could speak your truth and say, “I feel tense, and I’m breathing through it” or “I don’t have the words yet, but something doesn’t feel right”? Giving language to what’s present doesn’t make you dramatic. It makes you honest. And that honesty is where things start to soften.
