How I fit an entire flock of sheep into a pottery kiln…
Fifty-nine of them 🐑🐏!!
Three shelves.
One very carefully planned firing.
I won’t lie : I always hold my breath a little at this moment.
But they all made it. Every last sheep.
Full blog post in my bio if you’d like to see how I do it. 🐑

🐑 🙏 Thank you for your votes and comments
65% of you said “small jar, I’ll decant as I go” …..I agree, worktop space is precious.
Photo 1: The smaller jar from the poll alongside a new lidded jar, still a work in progress. She looks large now but will shrink around 10% in firing, so a happy middle ground.
Photos 2: The inspiration ~ a little woolly gathering from my feed: knitted yarn, one of my ceramic sheep, and a beautiful felted phone case by the wonderfully talented 🤍
Photos 3,4&5: A little peek at the making.
Last photo: Jar number two. Similar but not identical and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🐑
More soon.
Warmest woolly wishes, Sarah (The Ceramic Shepherdess) 🐑
