I taught first aid on Sunday for the RFU, it's a fantastic course, really fit for purpose, robust and thorough. Those coaches are so well equipped for injuries they might face, and have also learnt about injury prevention too. Here's some feedback:

Another brilliant first aid course! This time, teaching for the . It's such a great course, really relevant to sport, teaching things coaches might come up against, fractures, spine injuries, bleeding, and concussion. The team, from Clubs all over the north of the county cared about their players, and wanted to learn.
Even better, Carlisle were hosting the women's County Cup Final, Cumbria Vs Staffordshire. Cumbria won!
Well done

There are a few adders reported in Cumbria, so if you're out on the fells, keep an eye on the children and dogs. Do you know what to do if an adder does bite?
For the young, or the elderly, better to be safe than sorry, stay put and dial 999. For healthy adults follow this advice.

🏉🚑The RFU have updated their guidance for grassroots sport. If you suspect someone has concussion, they should be removed from the game *and checked over by a healthcare professional within 24hrs*
This means that they should see the team physio (if the team has one), or call 111 for advice from the NHS. 🏉⚽️
