It's too hot for tennis so why not warm up for Wimbledon with a book instead. Read a biography of one of these four greats of the men's game. Who is your vote for the greatest of all time?

He may be just outside the conversation for the greatest but Andre Agassi's autobiography "Open" certainly has a claim as the best tennis book of all time. If you aren't as interested in the top players read Conor Niland's award winning "The Racket" about those 99% of tour players who never make the bright lights of stardom.

If fiction is more your thing try Taylor Jenkins Reid's "Carrie Soto is back" about a retired star returning to the game for one last shot at the grand slam. With Serena Williams returning after a 4 year absence, fiction seems to be mirroring reality.

All these books are available at Oldham library. Go All In on a tennis book as part of our sports month for our reading calendar.
