to reinvesting anything above living wages back into the organisation. So...........what do we do??? Phoenix is dedicated to working with all young people between 13-19 and up to 21 with learning/physical disabilities. We intend to engage and support ALL young people regardless of social, financial, religious, ethnic, gender orientation and educational background. As a staff team we believe every young person has worth and hidden talent. We also realise many are simply not suited to mainstream education. Whilst we will be delivering English, Maths and I.T we will be doing lots of other things. We feel it is important to educate young people about the environment and their impact upon it. More importantly how they can live responsibly within it. Up-cycling/re-cycling and urban gardening will play a big part of our days. Our life skills and P.S.H.E delivery will also be a key feature of life at the project. Alongside this we will deliver basic plumbing (Tree qualified as a plumber in the long ago days of his youth!)
Basic woodwork and DIY skills in our workshop will be part of Phoenix to. Art and crafts time, film and debate sessions will allow our young people to express themselves. All this will be delivered in a peaceful, calm, supportive environment. The future is bright the future is garlic bread. Oh, Phoenix....that's it. The future is Phoenix :-)
