Transport Nottingham

Thanks to Sheriff of Nottingham, Councillor Audrey Dinnall, for dropping by the pop-up hub in Beechdale Road this morning on her way to a civic engagement.

The hub is moving around the city over the summer, having started out on Victoria Embankment. It's a base for a series of active travel activities, encouraging local residents to walk, wheel or cycle more for local journeys, rather than relying on private cars.

There is also be a special emphasis on helping those not in work, education or training to access low-cost travel options.

Update on the scrap metal fire in Basford ⬇️

Our crews worked throughout the night and will remain at the scene until later today, with a reduced presence. Once operations are complete, the site will be handed over for a joint Fire and Police investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

Please be aware that partial road closures remain in place.

In high temperatures, keep out of the heat if you can. If you must travel, please follow safety advice:
