So Burger King advertises a 'Vegan Royale Bakon King' but in the small print they admit that the 'Plant-based Bakon King' is cooked on the same grill as meat products. One might think they were cynically exploiting the trend among young people (inc students) for non-meat alternatives but not genuinely embracing the concept, so basically just jumping on the bandwagon of a trend to entice customers on the basis of a slightly misleading campaign message.

What has happened to English business language? 🤔

"Elevate procurement leveraging proven Amazon cloud computing and fulfilment technologies."

Desperate marketing? 🤨

Homelessness is no laughing matter but the people who write these messages do need to think twice before putting something up that gives people the opportunity to make a joke out of it. The obvious retort to this message is "...and they're getting pretty peed off about it too!"

It has to be more impressive to quote the bigger figure, surely? So, there are 525,600 minutes in a year and homelessness occurs every four minutes... so does that mean that 131,400 families are made homeless every year? That sounds more shocking than a family every four minutes, no?
