🌟 Community Cultural Meal Conversation and Cooking Class 🌟

Our community gathered to savour the flavours of Kenya during a delightful cooking class organised by Open Arms Organisation.

Special thanks to our wonderful volunteer who taught us how to make a delicious and aromatic Beef Pilau. ❤️🥘 The dish was made with so much love and everyone adored it! 💕🌍

It was truly an unforgettable experience and we enjoyed coming together as a community. Also, attendees had the opportunity to share their life experiences, hobbies and stories about their traditional food. 🌍💫

Cultura Viva: A celebration of culture, heritage and community. 🌎👋

Last Saturday, we teamed up with St Nics Amor y Esperanza at St Nics for the Cultura Viva event, a celebration of the diverse traditions of Latin American and a great opportunity for the Nottingham community to learn more about the beauty of these cultures, immerse themselves in vibrant traditions and experience authentic cuisine.

During the event attendees learnt about Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador through engaging presentations of each country, games to test the public's Spanish knowledge and interesting facts that surprised many. After that, each community made a tribute to their diversity through various cultural expressions including singing, poetry, music and dance. This was a reminder of the importance of cultural diversity and sharing our culture with new communities.

The afternoon finished with a true Latin American culinary experience representing the rich flavours of the Latin American cuisine. 🌎🍽
