Most jobs need more than one pair of hands. We work all over the country, long days away from home, sometimes weeks at a time.

If the lad in the van with you is a moaner, that drive home is a long one.

So I hire on personality first.

I can teach someone to clean a wall. I can’t teach them to be good company at 6am on a wet Tuesday in Cumbria.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m easy to get on with and full of energy. That’s the energy I want around me.
