We put a lot of focus on keeping our pups cool in this heat, but our feline friends are often overlooked! 🐈

Our little Minnie (Ragdoll) is a prime example of the importance of keeping your cats cool. A few years ago during a similar heatwave, Minnie suffered a spontaneous interssusception (meaning a section of her intestine folded in on itself and went necrotic). She had major abdominal surgery, lost 10-15cm of her intestines, and then spent 2 weeks in ICU recovering with pancreatitis and aspiration pneumonia (which also nearly killed her). Shes very lucky to be alive!

Safe to say i have implemented a lot of cooling measures for the girls to prevent a repeat of that awful situation.

I strongly advise everyone to keep their cats inside and monitor them very closely during this heatwave ❤️
