Hello lovely supporters,
Here is a little update for you all from the last few days of intakes and releases.
Yesterday a hobby and a buzzard came in, sadly both are in a very bad way and the next 24 hours will tell us if they will be able to make a full recovery.
Both birds have head trauma and the buzzard is suffering spinal trauma too. Keep everything crossed for them.
We also have a baby tawny owl who came in after being found at the road side with his foot tangled in netting.
The finder removed most of the netting and then our vet removed the rest. His foot has nasty injuries and extensive swelling, but is showing great signs or recovery and there is still good movement in the foot.
The 2 or the 3 baby little owls have now moved out into an avairy. Sadly 1 of the babies had injuries from the fall from the nest and passed away.
The juvenile kestrel was joined by another who was sadly found wandering around with ticks on his head and face. He is eating well and the swelling to his head is reducing.
The last of the 18 juvenile tawny owls were let out of thier hack avairy 2 nights ago, and have been seen on the camera returning for a little food top up and heard calling to one another.
And lastly, 2 adult buzzards that came in after car strikes, are on the mend and will soon be heading back out to where they were found.
