 🏁 RHPK ROUND 2 🏁
After taking the win last month in Round 1 the team still moved forward with trying to make the kart quicker over the course of the race and made changes to the kart together with adding new things. F1 Style Qualifying on Saturday saw Philip take Pole Position and handed the race start to Marcel. Philip then took over again for the middle stints and finally Marcel took the chequered flag in the last stint to take home P3. Lots learned again and the team have a better idea of what can be done with the chassis and tyres at hand.
Thanks to Rob at 7Kart UK Limited and Cornwell Racing Engines again for the support. Onto Round 3 in May.

Three Sisters last month proved to be a challenge. The team couldn’t quite work out the best setup for the track during practice and with unpredictable conditions during the race start, it was not enough to compete amongst the Elite teams. A disappointing result but the team isn’t giving up as we head to a familiar Shenington in just a couple days time.

🏁 Race Results 🏁
Rounds 3&4 of the BPEC Championship saw the team head down to a familiar Clay Pigeon. Both Marcel and Philip having raced here multiple times before their time in BPEC, the team went in with high hopes for a smooth weekend with good results.
Taking a different approach for testing on both Thursday and Friday, the team was comfortable enough to head into the first race on Saturday with full confidence. Philip took the charge taking on qualifying to put the 7Kart UK Limited XR P3 overall, only half a tenth behind P1 and P2 with the exact same time. Philip also took the race start and by lap 1 found himself in the lead of the race but shortly slotting into P2 in hopes to build a gap to karts behind. However, similarly to GYG, the tyres dropped off quicker than expected. By the end of Philip’s stint he had dropped down to P6 before pitting in and letting Marcel take the seat for his stint. The team didn’t give up and gave it their all on track and in the pits to bring it P6 overall and in class.
After lots of analysing, the team went into Sundays race with changes made to help reduce the tyre drop off. Qualifying and race start was a copy and paste of the day before with Philip taking on both. With a slightly slower track due to lower temperatures, Philip managed P4 overall with an exact same time as P3 and just over half a tenth behind P1. After another impressive race start, Philip managed to slot into P2, trailing the race leader and building a big gap to the karts behind. This time however it seemed that the changes made to the kart did help with our tyre drop off and Philip managed to stick behind the leader for much longer than the day before. Inevitably, by the time Marcel jumped in for his stint, we did see a quicker drop off in tyres compared to other teams. Despite this the team again kept pushing to bring the best possible result and came in at the end of the race in P6 overall and P4 in class.
Good weekend for the team and the 7Kart where we learn more about the karts performance over a 6hour race period. Next up is Round 5 at Three Sisters, a new track with challenges ahead but looking forward to taking it on regardless.

Race Week🚦🏁
Rounds 3&4 of the British Prokart Endurance Championship sees the team head down to Clay Pigeon, a fast flowing track with few corners but many opportunities for success. With even more taken in from Round 2, challenges still lie ahead on this double header. We head with a clear plan in mind in hopes to get in the mix at the top once more.

🏁 Race Result 🏁
After lots learned at Round 1 Whilton Mill with an unfortunate DNF to due a mechanical failure, the team headed up to North Wales for Round 2 of the BPEC Championship at GYG.
Practice on Friday and Saturday looked promising and the team headed into Sundays Qualifying and Race with confidence. Philip put the team in a solid P4 in qualifying before taking the race start. After dropping down a couple positions at the start but still up there with the front teams, we aimed for consistent pace on track and fast pitstops. However, it seemed that our tyres had dropped off earlier than the team expected and by the time Marcel was in the kart, our hopes for a podium finish were fading. The team didn’t give up however and continued putting in laps with everything we had left in the kart and came in at the end of the race in a P8 overall and P6 in class.
Another valuable weekend for the team as we learn more about the 7Kart XR chassis together with the tyres and looking to further develop the right formula for a race winning kart. Looking forward at taking on the double header at Clay Pigeon for Rounds 3&4 in a couple weeks.
Well done to all participating teams and everyone at for organising a great event as always.
