That’s the mark Aleksandr Sorokin set—an average of 3:39 per kilometer. Imagine running a 36-minute 10K, then repeating it nine more times without pause. Nobody in history has gone faster.

What makes it even more unreal? Sorokin only began running in 2013, at age 31, when he weighed 220 pounds (~100 kg) and simply wanted to get fit.

When he finally crossed the line, there was no big celebration. Just a tired fist in the air and a quiet message afterward: “It’s all about patience.”
