Little Rascals Childminding

Recently we had a lovely visit to the library π
The children had a great time exploring all the different books, choosing their own stories and finding a cosy spot to sit and read together. We looked at a mix of familiar favourites and some new stories, which sparked lots of interest and conversation.
Library visits are always a great opportunity to encourage a love of reading from an early age. The children enjoyed turning pages, pointing to pictures and talking about what they could see in the stories.
Learning opportunities:
* π Developing early literacy skills and a love for books
* π¬ Building language and communication through storytelling and discussion
* π§ Encouraging imagination and creativity
* π€ Promoting sharing, turn-taking and listening skills
* π― Supporting concentration and focus during quiet activities
A calm, enjoyable outing and a great way to support the childrenβs learning through play and stories π

𧩠Learning About Opposites π§©
Today we explored opposites. We talked about concepts such as big and small, fast and slow, and up and down while matching the pieces together.
This activity supported problem-solving skills, early maths and language development, as well as concentration and confidence. A lovely focused activity that was really enjoyed!
