Yesterday’s player of the Match goes to Kadie Speak. What a season she has had. Kadie led by example once again and really drove the team on in the second half, doing everything she could to help us get back into the game. A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award – well played, Kadie!

Morley Ladies 3-5 Boroughbridge

A disappointing way to finish the season as Boroughbridge came away with all three points in a hard-fought encounter.

Morley started brightly and took an early 1-0 lead, looking in control of the game. However, the early goal seemed to slow us down, and there was a feeling that the job was already done against a very strong and determined Boroughbridge side.

Boroughbridge were outstanding throughout. They were organised, first to every ball, and turned up ready for a battle. Their work rate and determination allowed them to take control of the game and ultimately secure the victory.

Morley continued to battle and showed flashes of quality, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit. It wasn’t the way we wanted to end the season, but there are so many positives to take from the 2025/26 campaign. We’ve shared some fantastic moments, picked up some great results, and built a brilliant team spirit with a great group of girls.

Player of the Match goes to Kadie Speak. What a season she has had. It’s the final game of the season for Morley Town Ladies, and we’re looking to finish on a high as we welcome Boroughbridge to our home ground this afternoon! 💙⚽

The hard work, commitment and determination have been there all season, and today is one last chance to put in a strong performance and end the campaign on a positive note.

We’d love to see plenty of support from the sidelines as the girls give everything for the badge one final time this season! 🙌
