The reading doesn't stop with the Summer Reading Challenge!

Why's that?! Well, let's hear it for this year's Winter Mini Challenge, which starts soon on the 1st December! YIKES - Don't worry, it runs until February 2026 so there's plenty of time to sign up and take part! Don't leave it too late though!

Did you miss out on this week's free creative writing workshop? Don't worry - Wednesday 29th gives another chance to join local performance poet Dr Aanka Batta as she guides writers to create their own poems, inspired by the theme of FREEDOM, and be part of the Our Freedom: Then and Now project!

This event is part of the Lighthouse Poole project Our Freedom: Then & Now, working with communities locally to reflect on what freedom means to them – in the context of the end of World War II and how it feels now. The art produced will contribute towards an installation to be unveiled 7 Nov at Lighthouse, which will be open to the public across the winter period.
