Saxonhouse is an authentic recreation of an early medieval homestead, built with appropriate materials, tools and skills and authenticated by leading archaeologists. It is not open commercially but those with an interest in the project can arrange to visit as 'friends'. We do not charge but groups who come for a visit and talk are often interested enough in the project to leave a donation to help towards upkeep. Also available as a location for filming.
Saxonhouse is now closed.
Manor Farm Cottage now has new owners as Steve and I embark on a new chapter of our lives.
Saxonhouse will now return to the earth and be of use to earth's creatures.
