After almost a month since our semi-final victory, the wait is nearly over — the final is just days away!

This Saturday, we travel to West Park Leeds to take on Skipton in the Counties 3 & Below North Plate Final 🏆

Having gone one step further than last season, Vale now have the chance to get over the final hurdle and be crowned champions. 💪🏻

With a bus full of supporters making the journey and what promises to be a fantastic day for the club, we can’t wait for Saturday to arrive!

🍻 The Plough will be open from 8:00am.
🚌 The bus will be leaving The Plough at 8:30am sharp.
🏉 Kick-off is at 12:00pm.

This weekends final has been postponed!

Due to the competition rules being applied incorrectly in the other semi final, the RFU have decided a rematch is to be played.

We will share details of who we are playing and when the final will be as soon as we have the information.

Vale came out on top in what can only be described as the game of the season!

Vale came out the blocks flying with early dominance and an early 2 try lead. Sileby showed resilience gaining 2 tries of their own, levelling up the score at 12-12, but before half time Vale re-emerged and took the lead with a score of 24-12.

In the second half the story flipped with Sileby being the dominant team and Vale spending most of the half defending. Sileby scored 12 unanswered points which had the score tied 24-24 at the end of 80 minutes meaning extra time was needed.

Sileby continued where they left off in the start of extra time taking scoring an early try but ultimately missing the extra points with the conversion bouncing off the posts.

Vale showed grit and determination and dug deep late into extra time, with the clock in the red and Vale camped on Sileby’s try line, Jordan Duffus managed to crash over scoring the try to tie the scores. With the conversion needed to send Vale through to the final, up stepped Ricky Geeson with nerves of steel to slot the conversion and win Vale the game! ⚫️🔴

Through to semi-final of the cup!

In what was a close fought game, with Thorn leading most of the first half, Vale managed to score a try just before half time going in the half with a 13-10 lead.

The second half Vale started strong and managed to get 9 points ahead thanks to the boot of Ricky Geeson. Thorne came back at Vale testing our defence but we held strong keeping them out the whole second half to come away victors!⚫️🔴
