I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to a lot of places, but this was my first time in the Caribbean and honestly a trip that felt long overdue. I still don’t know why it hadn’t happened sooner.

I went to Jamaica without any fixed expectations, but what really stayed with me was the warmth of the people. The hospitality genuinely took me aback. It felt very different to the hustle and bustle I’m used to whenever I go back to Nigeria, a different pace, but still full of life, culture and pride.

Being in Kingston and spending time with Beenie Man made it even more special. I grew up listening to his music at every party I went to, from when I was 14/15. Hearing about his journey coming from Standpipe was an honour to experience.

We’ve got something in the works together that I’m genuinely excited about. I can’t say too much just yet, but it’s exactly the kind of thing I started to do, bringing different worlds and cultures together to create something fresh.

Jamaica definitely left an impression on me I will definitely be back!

Another Special night in Manny.
30 years of the MOBO Awards celebrated in my city, this is another reminder of how much the city has grown and how much is happening here right now.

There’s always been so much talent, culture and energy in Manchester, so it’s good to see more of these moments landing in the city and reflecting that properly.

Also very proud to see Aitch performing on the night. Big moment for him representing the city doing what he does best.

And shout out for letting me arrive in style. Always appreciated.
