When I decided to roll out the MVP for Mango, I naturally reached out to a few people in my circle to share the app and get some early feedback. Almost immediately, I was met with a recurring question: “What exactly is Mango?”

I quickly realized that because the MVP is intentionally minimal, it can be a bit abstract without proper context. And after giving the same explanation multiple times, I figured it was time to write some documentation.

One section I’m especially proud of is called “The Spirit of Mango.”

When I committed to building Mango, I made peace with the possibility of failure. I told myself that if it doesn’t work out, I wouldn’t be discouraged—I’d learn from the experience and move on to the next thing. That mindset gave me the freedom to create without pressure. It might sound a bit unconventional, but that’s genuinely the spirit behind Mango.

So as you read through the documentation and explore the app, I hope you catch a glimpse of that same spirit.

While I was off social media, I was quietly working on an idea called Mango.

As a software engineer, one of the toughest things is starting — and actually finishing — your own projects. This time, I gave myself a deadline, pushed through the late nights (even when I didn’t feel like it), and shipped a simple, minimal MVP.

It’s not perfect, but it’s real — and I couldn’t be prouder.
