A BIG welcome to Professor Paul Weiss from UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles, USA) on joining the 17th NANOSMAT organising committee as one of the Chairs.

Professor Paul Weiss will also be giving a talk during the plenary session at the 17th NANOSMAT conference to be held in Rhodes, Greece during 6-10 July 2026.

Congratulations to Professor Max LU from the University of Wollongong, Australia for winning the prestigious NANOSMAT Prize 2026.

Professor Lu is internationally recognised for his pioneering work in nanotechnology, particularly functional nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications, and for his esteemed academic leadership roles.

We are very pleased to announce Dr Tanveer Tabish from the University of Oxford as the winner of this year’s KROTO MEDAL 2025.

Tanveer A. Tabish is a British Heart Foundation Advanced Fellow and Principal Investigator in Nanomedicine at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine and Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford in the United Kindom.

Dr Tabish will give the 2025 KROTO MEDAL Lecture titled “Next Generation of Drug Delivery Systems” during the plenary session of the 16th NANOSMAT Conference to be held in Naples, Italy during 6-10 July 2025. More details can be found at the NANOSMAT-2025 website - www.nanosmat.org
