Oldham Pride returned for another fun day of celebration at the weekend.

The Oldham Pride team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this year's event possible. Thanks to generous support from organisations including The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Action Together, MIO Care, Oldham Council, Forever Manchester, local businesses, pubs and other community partners, this year's celebrations have been largely self-funded through grants and sponsorship.

Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called to support Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) as crews responded to fires at Dovestone on Sunday morning.

Volunteers guided fire crews to key access points, providing valuable navigational support and local knowledge.

Later in the day, as a change in wind direction exacerbated the fire, the team also provided medical cover in support of the tireless firefighters working to bring the blaze under control while protecting the countryside and local communities.
