Cape Verde has qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time.
They finished top of Group D, ahead of five-time continental champions Cameroon, to secure their place alongside other qualifying African nations.
With a population of less than one million, Cape Verde becomes the second-smallest nation, after Iceland, to qualify for the FIFA World Cup tournament.
Cape Verde defeated Eswatini 3-0 in their final qualifying match to seal their spot in the 2026 World Cup.
