Dandelion Time
Working with the child and the wider family, Dandelion Time believe that family relationships and bonds are vital in helping a child overcome their difficulties and are often a key factor in their issues. Due to the sensitive nature of our work and the vulnerable children we support the young people on our social media are not our service users

When Tom from our Therapy Team saw the children taking on the slackline, he decided to have a go himself!
Balancing on the slackline isn't always easy. The children explored different ways of crossing, with and without shoes, testing their balance and trying out new strategies. There were wobbles, there were stumbles and there was plenty of laughter along the way.
Amongst the trees, children have the space to slow down and approach new challenges in their own way and in their own time. Whether they're watching, taking a first step or trying again, the calm surroundings can help them feel safe enough to give it a try and discover what they're capable of.
What stood out most was their willingness to keep going.
Seeing Tom step onto the slackline too was a lovely reminder that it's okay not to get things right first time. Sometimes the most important thing is being willing to try, embrace the wobble and keep going.
