If you’re a runner, dog walker or recreational river user, you’re most likely to spot someone if they’re struggling in water, so you need to know who to call to help them!

If the person is in a lake, river, canal, or any other area of inland water in Kent or Medway, call 999 and ask for the fire service. If they’re in the sea, ask for the coastguard.

Making the right call in that moment can help to save someone’s life.
