RISE daily Session feedback - 23rd June

A great start from Joanna as she completes her first 5 sessions with us at RISE!
We're so proud of her progress and can't wait to see what she accomplishes next!

Hardly any of us are training at 100%
Pretty much every day for the last near quarter century I'll have had some variation of a conversation with someone about how they can accelerate their results / progress.
How they can be losing weight, getting fitter or any other change that they'd like to make.
And whilst I'm a big fan of working smarter........
High return on investment, big bang for your buck adjustments rather than lots of little things that don't add up too much.........
Sometimes at least part of the answer is just "working harder".
Which isn't always an easy thing to hear.
Because it's tempting to think that we're working as hard as we can.
But it's super powerful to remember that none of us are.
Ever.
Myself included.
And working "as hard as we can" is neither realistic nor needed.
But resetting our calibration of where we are can be powerful.
Sometimes people ask me "Why am I not getting as strong (or toned) as I thought I would from these workouts?"
And I'll explain that we need to "up the intensity".
Harder versions, more reps, essentially 'harder work'.
"I'm working as hard as I can in Sessions" is a common reply.
To which I'll explain that "No one ever works at 100%".
"If someone offered you £1000 per extra rep, could you have done more?"
And you can see the penny drop.
If we could have done more, then what we were doing wasn't 100%.
And that's absolutely fine.
It doesn't need to be.
But if that calibration reset makes us realise that we're actually working at, say 75%..........
Then maybe we could work at 82%.
Realistically, from experience, most of the time we'll be lower than 75% to start.
Narrowing that gap between where we were and 100% will increase the results we get.
Not completely closing the gap.
Because that's impossible.
Just recognising that there is a gap for everyone and that we can narrow it for improved results.
You don't need 100%. But you probably have a little more to give.
Much love,
Jon 'Boat' Hall

Should you come down and have a look round?
If you're even slightly curious about RISE, I'd argue there's really not much to lose.
The worst-case scenario?
You spend 10 minutes looking around and decide it's not for you.
No pressure.
No awkward sales pitch.
No hard feelings.
But the best-case scenario?
You discover something that could genuinely change your life.
Hundreds of people have told us that coming down to RISE was one of the best decisions they ever made.
You won't know from videos and photos alone.
Sometimes you've just got to come and see it for yourself.
If you're curious, drop me a message and we'll arrange a time.
