Sadly I won’t be out racing for the early part of the race season as I’m going to have my hands full with a new business. I’m hoping to be out for the second half of the season but in the meantime if you’re ever in or around Chester come and check Deva Deli out.
New deli set to open at Chester market Deva Deli is to open near the entrance to the market at the end of the month

The season’s done for me now. Competed at the gold cup this weekend at Scarborough. Finished fifth in the first twin race after a poor qualifying put me in P10. Plugged away in the race and worked my way through, had the pace for 4th in the race which I was pleased with considering my lack of experience there. I really enjoyed the race and was nice to see a good few folk come along to watch. Sadly it danced down on Sunday and I’d wrecked my rear wet tyre the previous day in qualy and didn’t have the funds to buy a set so had to call it a day early as given the conditions only a decent set of wets would be safe. Shame really as I had P6 start for the Sunday just behind Ian Lougher, Dom Herbertson, Joey Thomspson and Brad Vicars all of which I could learn a thing or two from if I could hold on for a lap or so. Sadly it wasn’t meant to be and there’s a time and a place for taking risks and this weekend wasn’t it.
Overall it’s been a good season with wins here and there and good results at almost every meeting. We’ve worked our way through set up issues on the bike and I think we’re in the ball park with it now. We’ll be getting together over the next few weeks to decide on next years route and what we want to do to the bike. I’d planned on getting to the Manx this year but I’d have been in a corner financially and could only see me cutting corners (pardon the pun) to do it and it’s not the place to be going half cocked. So that’s something I’ll look at.
I’ve attached a few photos from the Gold cup weekend just gone and Barry Sheene classic earlier in the year.
