Irregular Signs

Just finished up a a lovely job for Pawnbrokers from the studio. This is the last job I have taken on before taking a few weeks off for impending fatherhood, and it was a really nice (and close to home!) one to do, there is something really satisfying about simple stained wood and off white lettering.
I’m now taking bookings for December and the New Year.

Lots of things completed for The Sail Loft including three murals and lots of way-finding! Lovely to add these beautiful woodcut-inspired designs from in bursts of colour to this cosy riverside pub.
Cheers to the assistance from on this one, lots of logistics involved in transferring this design onto the canvasses (our favourite kind of puzzle!)

Absolutely lovely day painting a gold leaf fascia for in west Dulwich. The client provided some brilliant French inspired references, which we echoed in the design and adapted to produce something really bold and eye-catching.
This job was passed to me by .warner.signpainter and it was so nice being back in my old stomping ground of West Dulwich and the icing on the cake was bumping into .design within the first ten mins! Top day.

Some of my favourite textures and ageing effects from the course I did last year.

I learnt so many specialist finishes the scenic/theatre way, James was such a great teacher and I have been using the techniques he and Caroline taught us ever since!

I have done sporadic stints of graining marbling and ageing over the last ten years, mainly helping my dad but this was a completely different approach and so interesting to see the differences to.

Bring on more of this please!
