It’s hard to be to believe that one year ago I was running the ! What was a dream became a reality when I literally won the race lottery! and I’m so excited for everyone who gets to run this year because it’s an incredible race with incredible spectators.

Good luck to everyone running this year! Enjoy every minute! 🎉 oh & don’t worry if you don’t see the photographers on Tower Bridge, they see you! As evidenced by this photo. I never saw this camera 📸

Half marathon training is back! I’m 1.5 weeks into this training block and feeling great, runs are feeling good, I’m feeling strong & I got new shoes!

I picked up a pair of the Adizero Boston 13s, a new to me style. My first impression was that they initially felt a lot firmer than the previous shoes I was wearing. After running in them a few times, I love them, they start out firm at first but then they soften in the mid foot when you need them to. They are super comfy out of the box & while I love the softness & responsiveness of the EVO SLs I don’t feel like I’m 7ft tall in these 😝. I

Anyone else wearing the Boston 13s? What do you like about them?

Not sponsored I just really like these shoes 👟

This year was all about the ! The first 4 months of the year were dedicated to a really good training block that got me to the finish line in London.

I ran 9 races this year & I was really strategic in picking them for a couple of reasons…1 to supplement my training for London & 2 because I’m closing in on 100 half marathons & I wanted the races leading up to be different, not the same races in places I can run anytime.

This year I ran:
Resolution Run 10k
Kook 10k
Hot Chocolate 15k
San Diego Half Marathon
Beach to Bay Half Marathon (no photo)
London Marathon
San Francisco Marathon 1st Half - our 10th Anniversary Race (we ran the race the day before we got married & it was on our actual anniversary this year.)
I closed out the year at Las Vegas Marathon which got me guaranteed entry for NYC Marathon next year due to a Strava virtual guaranteed entry spot.

This year was a rollercoaster, running London and then getting high hamstring tendinitis which made training for Vegas a huge struggle but I got it done!

I’ve been focusing on recovery & getting stronger these last 6 weeks and I’m looking forward to a few new half marathons next year.

What races did you run this year?
