It works with a number of Sahrawi human rights activists who are based in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and in Morocco. Adala UK gives the Sahrawi human rights movement a unified voice at an international level, predominantly by organizing and participating in speaker events and by sending letters and petitions to the appropriate decision makers and authorities.

The British capital today witnessed a peaceful demonstration outside the Moroccan Embassy in solidarity with the people of Western Sahara. Protesters gathered to reaffirm their unwavering support for the Sahrawi people’s inherent right to freedom and self-determination, as recognised under international law.

Participants firmly rejected Morocco’s proposal for so-called “autonomy”, denouncing it as an attempt to legitimise an illegal occupation and to undermine the Sahrawi people’s legitimate right to full independence.
