Transformations

Transformations offer a course tailored for up to three people from salon hair dressers, Film & TV specialists, themed party / wedding planners plus more.

The course covers:
• How to set wigs
• Preparation
• After care (cleaning, storing, etc.)
• Styling
• Design
• Taking the correct measurements for making a wig
• Correct way to fit and remove a wig
• Discussions over and during the course

Expanded courses to cover all requirements for any period.

Originally, Stephanie’s courses were aimed at people already in the Film & TV industry and just needed a refresher course; however, due to the growing demand for this type of hair design, courses are now open to beginners as well.

In 2017, Transformations taught a drag queen on how to set wigs for his show which included looking like Lady Gaga.

Stephanie is open to suggestions to people in different areas also looking to learn or improve their skills in this area. A good example would be those who Cosplay at Fantasy and Sci-Fi events searching for better ways to produce their creations to the highest standard possible.

We have the big hood wig dryers, the stands and beautiful hair lace wigs, all the equipment possibly needed to work with, while in a warm and friendly environment.

Nylon wigs need to be set in a special oven which we have, however, as you will probably not have one of your own; you can use a steam iron or other such appliances that omits steam.

During your time, you will be able to journey through Stephanie’s past and see many of the iconic artists she has worked with, become friends with as you browse through her private collection of photographs spanning over 50 years.

This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the industries much loved and appreciated characters who you will never forget.

Tea, coffee, biscuits, water are provided and during the winter, Stephanie offers homemade soup.

Hours: 9am to 4pm
Lunch: 12pm to 1 or 1pm to 2pm

£200 per day per person
