📌Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTD-ITSA)

➡️ Delays mean it will now be mandatory from 2026 for sole traders, landlords and self-employed people

What this means:
📊 Most self-employed taxpayers and landlords must keep digital records and file quarterly updates via approved software — not just the annual tax return.
🧾 Paper filing is being phased out, and HMRC won’t accept old-style submissions once the system is fully live.
