The Luminary Bakery is a social enterprise which provides training, employment and community to disadvantaged women in London. They work holistically alongside women who have experienced gender-based violence and suffer multiple disadvantages, providing training and preparation for employment alongside trauma-based support. The Luminary Bakery uses baking as a tool to help women rebuild their lives and create a future for themselves through employability and entrepreneurship.

The organisation’s goal is to encourage women to find independence through employment. They work with a cohort of women during a two-year training period, up-skilling and preparing them for a working world and an independent future. Their delicious cakes went down a treat at our final High Tea social on our Winter Vacation Scheme 🧁🍰

Followed by networking 5pm – 6pm with Graduate Recruitment, Trainees, and our lovely panellists: Hannah Manning, Tax Partner and Co-Head of Graduate Recruitment, Nikesh Arya, Associate in Private Equity & Financial Sponsors, Sophie Gayle-Farlow, Associate in Corporate M&A and ECM, Alastair Lowson, Associate in Finance, and Hamad Naeem, 3rd Seat Trainee currently sat in Private Equity & Financial Sponsors.
