“It’s a group effort, not a draining solo effort” - Our new Honorary Life Member, Chipo Chung, shares why Equity is like family to her.

Chipo was awarded Honorary Life Membership for her work on international solidarity. She is currently Chair of Equity’s International Solidarity Committee, which advocates for artists based outside of the UK suffering oppression, persecution or hardship in the pursuit of their profession. Chipo has consistently worked to broaden the committee's reach to artists everywhere, building the unions connections including with the Sudanese Dramatist Union, the Cuban Cultural Union and Palestinian theatre organisations.
