Our conversion work often involves complex and highly technical alterations and extensions to existing buildings, many of which are listed, and our aim is to create a contemporary design that is distinct from - but in harmony with - the existing building. We always start from the premise that the new use of the building should never obliterate its past life. Externally, our buildings are designed not to give too much away and to age gracefully. Many of our projects are in urban and Conservation Areas, which are often bound by planning restrictions and considerations and, as a result, we have very good experience of dealing with planning applications and an excellent track record for successful outcomes.
