After five years as Head of Design at aidsmap.com I am saddened by the necessary decision made by the board to close the organisation down. I have met and worked with some incredible people and feel honored to have been a part of such an amazing charity.
The work we have done individually and as a team has helped so many people living with HIV, and I am positive all my lovely, hardworking, and dedicated colleagues will all go on to do amazing things.

I will continue to work as a freelance book designer, and post redundancy I will also be looking for a new opportunity either Freelance or permanent, within the third sector or publishing - or ideally a bit of both!

The job notifications on LinkedIn are getting increasingly bizarre! I'm looking for work as a and today I got a notification (that said I was a 'top candidate') For an HGV Truck driver.
Main duties include (but are not limited to):
· Class 1 HGV licence
· Operate forklifts
· On-call during peak fishing seasons.

To be clear:
I do not have an HGV driving licence (or any kind of driving licence)
I cannot operate a forklift truck
I am unable to be on call during peak fishing seasons.

I CAN however design your book cover, design a children's illustrated book, design a book on the History of Scotland, a Cookery book, a book on Landscape Architecture - or any book really, I'm quite versatile, I'll even do a book about HGV's.
