The UK Government’s Ministry of Defence has announced the development of the world’s first mobile quantum brain scanner in an exciting step forward for real-world brain imaging, particularly in understanding the effects of blast exposure and neurological injury.

It’s especially rewarding for us at Target3D to see this progress, having supported Cerca Magnetics at an earlier stage of their journey.

We worked with the team to provide OptiTrack motion tracking for MEG brain scanning research, helping enable accurate data capture even when subjects move naturally - a key challenge in making brain scanning more practical beyond the lab.

Blitz nightclub and 80s music history brought back to life with deep tech at the Design Museum with support from Digital Catapult and its partners - Digital Catapult 09/12/2025

The iconic Blitz nightclub is roaring back to life at the Design Museum!

Working in close collaboration with Digital Catapult, Guildhall Production Studio (Guildhall School of Music & Drama), and Southby Productions from our Advanced Media Production Studio in London, we helped to recreate the energy, attitude and sheer electricity of the 1980s Soho scene.

From developing a stunningly lifelike avatar of Blitz co-founder and resident DJ Rusty Egan (filmed in period-perfect costume and animated using archival references) to colourising and restoring rare 1980s footage of Spandau Ballet and building a virtual army of Blitz Kids – this project pushed every boundary in immersive storytelling.

Huge thanks to the entire team, the original Blitz Kids who shared their stories and to the Design Museum for trusting us to help resurrect one of the most influential clubs in British cultural history.

The exhibition Blitz: The Club That Shaped the 80s is now open and runs until 29 March 2026. If you want to step back into the New Romantic revolution, grab your tickets now.

Time to get physical with Monty Simmons! 💪

We’re happy to be supporting Monty with motion capture for an exciting upcoming project.

Instead of the standard 41 marker setup, we went with a 54 markerset, giving us more precision during data capture. And would you look at that beautiful t-pose!?

Making Music Education Accessible with SymphoMe 21/07/2025

We recently had the pleasure of working with SymphoMe, a startup that aims to make music education more accessible and engaging.

The SymphoMe team is currently exploring how motion capture and AI can be used to automate piano teaching, with precision tracking and realtime feedback.

With the aid of Digital Catapult funding, StudioT3D stepped in to help bring SymphoMe’s vision of responsive music learning to life.

We talked to founder and CEO Ifeanyichukwu Ezinmadu about the company’s goals and share a behind the scenes look at the shoot, held at our Advanced Media Production Dock Street studio.

Making Music Education Accessible with SymphoMe We sat down with Ifeanyichukwu Ezinmadu, CEO of SymphoMe to discuss the company's latest research into motion capture, with the assistance of StudioT3D, an A...
