About Wolves use new writing and experimental studio theatre to give a voice to the wild women throughout history and the present whose stories have been silenced. The company was founded based on a desire to see more female characters on stage, and to tell the stories of women who did not conform to traditional gender roles or expectations but who achieved or experienced amazing, fascinating things and deserve to have their tales told.

"This isn’t new: the invisibility of q***r, le***an and trans women as well as trans men and the non-binary community is ongoing, and certainly a battle to be fought... Invisibility is dangerous. Representation matters. Young LGBT+ people beginning to discover themselves need to look to a world in which they see their reflection. Empowerment comes when young le***an, bis*xual, trans and q***r women have role models readily available to them, who are promoted and supported by the media and events such as Pride."
