No child in the UK should grow up to be poor or lonely just because they are blind. There are an estimated 22,000 blind and partially sighted children and young people in England and Wales and every day four more children will be diagnosed with sight loss. Currently;

Fresh off another fantastic early years event in partnership with VICTA UK! This time we headed to Liverpool 🚅

It was wonderful to connect and share advice for families that might not have access to in-person support for them and their children.

Meet Steve!

For more than 12 years, Steve has been a familiar character at RSBC, volunteering his time to support blind and partially sighted children and young people. He’s helped them try new experiences, build friendships, and grow in confidence.

His dedication was recognised in 2019 when he was nominated for and won the London Youth Volunteer of the Year award.

From accompanying young people on activities to welcoming new families, Steve has been part of almost 400 activities and countless memorable moments.
