A huge thank you to our judges this year for choosing our five shortlisted CLiPPA collections. This year’s shortlist includes something for everyone and we hope that all of the schools that were involved in shadowing had an excellent time learning and performing poetry!

3 things schools gain from the Power of Reading!

1) A stronger, book-centred English curriculum, built on high-quality children’s literature and creative teaching.
2) Better reading and writing attainment, plus more confident, motivated and joyful readers.
3) Confident teachers and literacy leaders, with deeper subject knowledge and fresh, creative approaches.

When schools invest in the Power of Reading, children don’t just improve their attainment, they discover stories, voices and possibilities they might never have found otherwise.

Power of Reading isn’t a reading and writing scheme, it's a proven methodology with resources and approaches to support & develop confident, motivated readers and writers.
