As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

Ps 103:13-14

Six weeks ago Boaz Peace Wilson Marthinet-Glover entered the world. It’s a lot of names, so we just call him Bo.

Nothing can quite prepare you for parenthood. The heart melting feeling the first time he smiled at me. The extreme anxiety that a combination of sleep deprivation and fear for this little fragile life has brought. Perhaps more than anything else, I’ve found myself watching him, holding him, praying with and for him and contemplating how our Father in heaven loves us far more than I am capable of loving Bo. I’ve been reminded of what it means to be a child of God. To be needy and helpless and wholly reliant on the one you trust is capable of providing for your every need. Bo has far more faith in his mommy to do that than I do in our Father. I’m sure there will be much more that the Lord teaches us through this little man, but he’s started strong!

Four weeks of paternity leave was a massive blessing! Lots of exciting things in the pipeline now I’m back. Stay tuned!

We went to the Brecon Beacons. Hotel was amazing! Scenery was stunning! Went on the wettest walk I have ever experienced ☔️ and Abi tried to fall asleep under a rainbow. 🌈

Had a great time speaking at Durham CU on Monday evening and helping their committee think creatively about digital evangelism. It was so nice to be back in a CU setting, getting to hear a little of how the Lord is working in and through the students there. Do pray for their events week happening in a few weeks time!

There’s something about the turn of the year that makes us want to reflect. With a year full of big changes to come I found myself thinking a lot about change - why I find it scary, what that fear reveals about my heart. And then I finally found the discipline to sit down, write and turn those thoughts into some spoken word. I also managed to land it on the second take, which has never even come close to happening before! Looking forward to sharing the full thing soon!

A five-part documentary-style film series for young adults that begins with their questions about truth, acceptance and belonging and takes people to Jesus.

We’ve been working with our filming partners for the Fount Sessions since January. We’ve written and almost fully cast the series, bringing us close to the end of pre-production. Please pray that God would provide the final few people we need and for discernment throughout the whole casting process.

As pre-production ends, production of the pilot episode is our next step. For that we need more funding. Praise God for all he’s provided over the summer, bringing us within what feels like touching distance, but we need a final push to get us over the line and onto filming!

In a culture where identity can be as fleeting as a social media post, with a generation that are most likely to hear an evangelistic talk as the expression of a purely personal truth, it is the undeniable, transformative power of the gospel, showcased in the changed lives of their peers, which will compel people to Jesus.

We’re convinced that well told stories are the way to do this. So we’re helping GenZ’s to craft and communicate their stories in a way that demonstrates the undeniable impact of Jesus on their lives! We call these Deep Streams.

Our mission at The Stream Collective is to disrupt the daily scroll with high quality content that resonates with Gen Z and challenges the cultural narrative. And demonstrate the uniqueness of Jesus by showing that the gospel transforms.

Our way of starting the conversation is through Reflect Reels - short, relevant, punchy content that offers a way in and a way on to deeper content that points to Jesus.
