Lazarus Lore

More experiments with different types of brushes on procreate, this was done using a crayon brush. I've recently been doing a lot more traditional art so I'm exploring ways of taking the effects I like and how to apply them to my digital art.

Been wanting to tackle a water colour style illustration for a while. I've always been unsure about digital water colour brushes (not because they are not good more because I wasn't confident using them) but did like how it turned out in the end. Might do some more!

The strange alien ships that had recently appeared across the kingdom, and the rumours of creatures stepping out of their golden orbs, had stirred every tavern into unease. I chose to seek answers for myself. The ancient towers that rise above the clouds, a place humans like me are never meant to tread. Even as a fairly high-level wizard, my power is nothing beside the elders’. That’s why I came to the sky gardens of the elders, to uncover the mystery of the strange visitors. No mortal had walked these towers for thousands of years. So when I passed through the cloud line, it was startling to see golden, orb-like crafts weaving between the spires, so close in shape to the alien vessels I sought. The sight only raised more questions...
