We’re delighted to share a wonderful retreat opportunity from our friends at Head On Out and our very own Phyllis - Llio Evans👇
Mountain Lieder is an exclusive holiday experience that combines music and good food to the beautiful backdrop of the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) in North Wales. Guests stay in a converted Church in private ensuite rooms, spend days out in the hills guided by a team of wildlife and local history experts, and in the evenings are treated to and exclusive recital series by soprano, Llio Evans, and pianist, Charlotte Forrest.
Adrian Bridge in The Telegraph describes it as “a magical bonding experience”, saying:
“We could have been in London’s Wigmore Hall - but it was all the more powerful for being a performance for a small, select audience in an intimate atmosphere in a former chapel that contained a stunning religious-themed mosaic with echoes of Ravenna.”
Meals are prepared by in-house chefs using regional ingredients and supporting local suppliers.
Mountain Lieder is the brainchild of tenor and mountain climbing instructor Edmund Hastings. The outdoor walks are very gentle and local but should you want to try your hand at scrambling, Edmund is able to offer this as an additional extra at the end of the course.
There are still a few spaces left for this year’s Mountain Lieder which runs September 14-17th. Should you be interested please visit the website for more information: https://www.headonout.co.uk/mountain-lieder
