It’s been just over a week since South East’s Afro-Soul artist LULU. () dropped her first ever EP ‘Dear Disoriented Soul’, an eight-track collection inviting listeners into a soul-stirring exploration of personal growth and all that comes with. With captivating beats, heartfelt lyrics, and warm, hypnotic vocals, it’s a no-skips type of project.

In conversation with Lulu, we asked her to let us in on the central theme of Dear Disoriented Soul, as well as what she hopes for listeners take away from it.

“My project is an audible representation of growing pains. Born from prayers, struggles and resilience every song has its own perspective. I wanted to be vulnerable, create a safe space for lost souls to exist and feel seen but to also find courage in my songs. With my faith being the core of my entire existence and scriptural references skirting in and out of the songs the music becomes an extension of me, everything I’ve been, and who I’m becoming.”

Dear Disoriented Soul is available on all streaming platforms. Among the new additions, ‘Home’ is our favourite. Which is yours?👇
