Register for our latest Resilience First webinar, in partnership with the The Fire Protection Association, on Lessons Learnt for the Built Environment from the Grenfell Tower Fire, taking place on Thursday, 23 September 2021, 3pm to 4pm BST.

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry was created to examine the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the fire at Grenfell Tower on the night of 14 June 2017. Changes to building regulations have already come into force following the tragedy. However, it is important to explore further the ramifications for the built environment, including reputational damage to the sector, in order to address and ensure ongoing improvements and safeguards are in place to progress standards of security and safety in buildings.

This session will allow our joint members to consider what else the sector could do to advance resilience best practice and standards across the industry and the communities in which they operate.

Chair: Lord Toby Harris, Chair, National Preparedness Commission

Speakers:

Terence Short GIFireE, Principal Fire Safety Advisor, City of London Corporation

Howard Passey, Director of Operations, The Fire Protection Association
