Stak House - A study of the interior spaces.

During the design process we use programs to simulate how natural light will behave in the spaces we design. We like to explore how light penetrates different spaces. This helps us understand how a person will feel in the spaces we design as well as how they could be connected to the landscape outside.

This project was sited in the middle of a forest, it was important to understand how we might begin to draw the surrounding gardens into the house through framing and openings in the façade.

We designed the garden as an extended room, a place where you can meet, talk, play but also rest or even sleep. A bay window opens toward the garden in an attempt to merge both garden and living areas.
