👶 Choosing a nursery setting for your baby or toddler feels like a big step. If you’re returning to work it can also be an emotional time as your maternity leave is ending and your time with your little one is going to be reduced.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👶 So how do you go about finding a nursery that is right for you and your baby? What questions should you ask? How can you tell if they’re on your parenting wavelength?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👶 Before you begin your search, it’s important to identify what you’re looking for in a nursery. Consider the following:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📍 Location – logistics are an important consideration

⏰ Opening hours – do their timings work with your job
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💰 Budget – it’s a good idea to find out costs of a few settings to see what’s costs are like in your area

😢 The prospect of losing a child in a busy area is pretty terrifying isn’t it.

✅ It’s important to have a plan in case it ever does happen.

Teach your child to:

👉 Stay still
👉 Look for a family with children
👉 Look for a member or staff. Depending on where you are – you might need to teach them how to spot a staff member.

🖊️ You could also write your phone number on their arm in case they get lost if you’re going somewhere very busy.

🙏 Please share this post with all the parents you know.

👂 Swimmer’s ear, or outer ear infections are caused by an infection that causes inflammation (redness and swelling) of the ear canal, which is the tube between the outer ear and the eardrum.

👂 Otitis externa is often called ‘swimmer’s ear’ because regularly getting water in your ear can make inflammation more likely.
Swipe for what symptoms to look out for.

A few simple steps can help prevent it:
✅ Dry ears gently after swimming
✅ Avoid letting children swim if they already have ear pain
✅ Don’t use cotton buds inside the ear canal
